TRAVERSING

Death

Narciso Digitale

I tend to work at night. It’s just easier to focus, and things feel a bit looser, less defined.

I usually start from simple stuff, things I’ve seen during the day, objects, fragments, sometimes bodies, and then I keep pushing them until they don’t feel quite right anymore. Not in a dramatic way, just slightly off.

I guess I’m drawn to that in-between space where something is still familiar but starts to slip. Sometimes it turns out darker, sometimes a bit ironic or uncomfortable. I don’t plan it too much.

Most of the time I’m just trying to see what happens if I follow an image a bit further than I should.
